Benjamin Niemann (pink at odahoda dot de) updated Python implementation from v2.2 to v3.1. Original implementation up to 2.2 by Marq Kole (marq.kole at xs4all dot nl). The package is also available on PyPI and can be installed by a simple

easy_install stringtemplate3
